I believe we all try our best with what we have at all times. Sometimes, though, our best is us trying to just survive, which unfortunately leads to hurting others or ourselves in the process. I've been there; after all, hurt people hurt people. It's taken a long time and lots of intentional practices, like positive affirmations and yoga, to help me see and feel the true nature of things and become the helper I am today.
